Anomaly: Prologue

The Year is 2045, But nobody cares about that four digit-number in this devastated world called earth. In this world nobody cares for science or math, nor does anybody has the decency to give way at the end of the road, this world is completely different from the one you love and know today.

Earth was fine up until 2020 when the asteroid was spotted on it's course towards earth. It took about five years for the asteroid to reach a distance where the military could help protect the earth from this enormous threat but their attempts were futile. After numerous missiles were launched in attempt to knock the asteroid away had failed they decided to use heavier explosives which would hopefully break up the asteroid and do less damage on it's way down. But just like before it only made a few dents and a couple of pieces to break off, so the turned to their last resort, The atomic bomb.

They world leaders understood the effects that could be cause by using the atomic bomb but they knew it was either that, or face total destruction. So, they launched a series of bombs that each erupted in the night sky as it ripped apart the asteroid into hundreds of pieces.

Everyone had believed the threat was over, That they were safe from the threat. But they were wrong, The asteroid had only broken up into smaller, irradiated pieces of rock. These rocks were caught in the gravitational pull from the earth and  slowly started to fall to earth, at least one every few days. The government tried to capture these rocks before they begun polluting the world but they fell to fast to capture. Apart from the irradiation, These rocks were still of great size and they were doing a lot of damage. By the time they had all fallen most of the words city's were in ruin and the world wide death toll was breathtaking. The world was coming to it's ugly end...


but, a further 20 years in the future life still remains on earth. Either an irradiated mutation, A member of one of the many gangs or a survivor struggling to survive in the badlands. The world is a very different place to live and many stories are being written, But only one can be told at a time. Our story is set in the half destroyed city of Melbourne, Australia.  One of the more unlucky cities on earth.
